James D. Caponera, age 78 of Las Vegas, died on Saturday, November 2, 2013 in Las Vegas. Born February 15, 1935 in Astoria, New York, he had been a Las Vegas resident for over twenty years. Mr. Caponera worked as a Crane Foremen for Con Edison, retiring in 1993. He was preceded in death by his wife Estelle. Survivors include his daughters Debra (Michael Deleo) Caponera and Denise (Paul) Huether; grandchildren Matthew (Adina) Chmiel, Melissa and Paul Huether; sisters Anna Langone, Nancy (Jessie) DiCristforo and Josie Termini. Funeral services will be held at 6pm on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., where family will receive friends from 4-6pm. Inurnment, Palm Valley View Cemetery.
