Bob and I have known the Childers family since 1962 when all three families moved to Las Vegas. We were in the youth group at Trinity Temple together and have been friends for over fifty years. Jamie always had a big smile on his face and we will miss seeing him on Sunday mornings at Peace Way Christian Center. We are praying for the Childers family that the Lord will give comfort and peace at this time. Our hearts are so saddened for our dear friends, but know we will all see Jamie again.

James and I arrived in Las Vegas the same year. We quickly became the best of friends.
We were teammates on so many ball teams. So many great memories.
We both owned beefy cars in the day. His Camero and my 57 Chevy.. Tire marks are probably still on a lot of pavement from Vegas to Page Arizona.
So many double dates and so much fun.
Over 55 years of always having one another’s back. We always stood up for one another even when many said we were wrong.
Our friendship was constant and dependable.
I feel like my anchor has been moved. I miss you my friend, but I will see you again in the not too distant future.

I am especially fond of our trip together when we took you & James to Branson. We laughed a lot & shared a lot & really enjoyed showing you both the beautiful terrain in Arkansas. Ron & I thought very highly of James, he was kind, funny, caring & just plain fun to hang with! We will surely miss him but he has graduated to a higher plain of existence! We love & miss you dear friend in heaven & will be seeing you very soon!

Dear, dear Linda,
We were definitely not expecting to hear about Jamie's passing! We are so sorry for your loss! We know you will miss him terribly!
We will pray for JESUS to wrap HIS arms of love around you and your family. We will also pray that HE give you peace and comfort that surpasses all understanding.

We know that precious in the sight of GOD is the physical death of one of HIS children. Jamie is now home with the LORD, and the rest of us wait until we can all be reunited!

Wish we lived closer so we could join you at Jamie's service. Just know you are in our thoughts and in our prayers!
We love you, Linda!

Dear Linda.
We just dropped off the men of our family at the airport to join you in Las Vegas as you remember Uncle Jamie this week.
We are very sad that we can’t be with you but we know that many have surrounded you in this time of grief.
We are so thankful that in the midst of this valley of death HIS hope of eternity is shining bright into all of our lives. You will see him again one day which is the hope of all hopes.
We love you all the Way from Hawaii.

We were saddened when we received the news of Jamie's homegoing, but know that he is no longer suffering and with the Lord. One thing that is comforting, is that we will see him again someday. We are just passing thro this life, but he has now received his reward and is with Jesus forever.
Jamie was so kind and I will always remember when he approached us and wondered how we were doing at that moment. Jamie painted our home some years ago. He did a Class A paint job, and when he was finished, you would never know a painter had been there. Everything was cleaned up and left in immaculate condition. Only thing noticed was that our house looked great and no messes around it.
Many memories over the years and one of the most recent was he and Linda's attendance at our 50th Wedding Anniversary. What a great evening. Life goes so fast and one should take more time for their friends. Also, our friends from AZ were here helping me a week ago, and we had a conversation with him. YES, JAMIE, you will be missed, but know that you are rejoicing with the Lord. Much love and prayers to Linda and your family. God will be with you and comfort you. Jim & Karen

James we were certainly not ready to let you go but I know you had a big smile while riding in that glorious chariot that ushered you into God's presence. We will miss all the fun times that we shared with you and Linda. I couldn't have ask for a better brother-in-law and will always have fond memories of your playful, fun ways. I am honored to have known you. We will pick up where we left off as soon as we get to join you.

James was a kind man, who we will always remember as hardworking, caring, and having a great sense of humor! He will be missed, but, we are comforted in knowing he has gone to paradise, collecting his inheritance!!
