

James dedicated many years of service as a printer for Clark County, where he was known for his reliability, strong work ethic, and attention to detail. He took pride in his work and valued being part of a team that served the community.
Outside of work, James had a wide range of interests. He enjoyed shooting, metal detecting, astronomy, and spending time watching football, often relaxing while following his favorite teams. He had a special fondness for his cats, who brought him comfort and companionship over the years.
Above all else, James cherished his role as a grandpa. Time spent with his grandchildren brought him great joy, and he loved sharing stories, interests, and quiet moments with them.
James is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Goodwin; his daughter, Carol Pavese; his grandchildren, Breana Pavese and Michael Pavese; and his brother, Michael Goodwin. He will be remembered for his steady presence, gentle nature, and devotion to his family.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held at Palm Mortuary - Downtown, located at 1325 North Main St, Las Vegas, NV, 89101, on January 25, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A committal service will take place at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, located at 1900 Veterans Memorial, Boulder City, NV, 89005, on January 26, 2026, starting at 9:20 am.
