James Raymond Pechacek

James R Pechacek, 78 of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on March 14, 2016. James was born in Olney, Texas to his parents, Emil and Margaret Pechacek. James married the love of his life, Eleanor in 1958. James was a Firefighter and served in the United States Army. He spent his spare time hunting and spending time with his grandkids. He was a past member of Knights of Columbus; he was a forerunner in Las Vegas with the recreational soccer program, coaching and refereeing. James was one of the first EMT/Paramedics in Clark County. James was a founding member of St Francis De Sales Catholic Church. James enjoyed wood craftsmanship in his garage and made many pieces for his family to keep and cherish. James was preceded in death by his parents. James is survived by his wife, Eleanor; his children Nathan Pechacek(Lisa), Margaret Lommason(Ed), Daniel Pechacek(Janette), Lori Horton(John), David Pechacek, Amy Beaman(Ryan); his grandchildren, Lanisa Harveson(Andrew), Shiloh Pechacek, Amber Pechacek, Jennifer Lommason, Janelle Pechacek, Kyle Horton, Derek Horton, Taylor Beaman, Brooke Beaman, Gavin Beaman, and 1 great granddaughter Madison Pechacek and his 2 brothers, Edwin Pechacek and John Pechacek. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 20, 2016 3:00-7:00PM at Palm Northwest Mortuary, 6701 N Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV with a Funeral Service on Monday, March 21 at 10:00AM at St Francis De Sales, 1111 N Michael Way, Las Vegas, NV.
