This is In memory of our special friend,  J. P. Pouliot.  Sandy met J.P. in 1978 in conjunction with their Air Force careers.  They developed a respect and fondness for each other.  My introduction to J.P. was through his wife Barbara around 1982, and we became fast friends.
Many, many pleasant and very funny events are recalled from throughout almost 40 years.  It would take a small book to express them all.  Undoubly, wisdom says NOT to document some of them!  But these are our wonderful memories to reflect on throughout our lives. But the most important role J.P. played in our lives was to be matchmaker and put the two of us together.  And he was so right, we will soon celebrate our 29th anniversary.  Even though we have lived on different coasts, our bond has never weakened.  It is painful to say good-bye to such a special and lasting friendship.  J.P. was a dedicated family man and he would always lend a helping hand.  But now he has gone home and someday we will meet again.

JP was a caring and fun person to be around.  I have known him for over 50 years. He was my brother-in-law and I was fortunate to be stationed with him at Offutt AFB in Bellevue NE. We have bowled together and shared many family experiences. He could be a prankster at times and was very good at delivering a funny story. He was also a generous and caring man. He was devoted to his family and friends. My wife, Sandi, and I will miss him deeply. As much as we miss him, we are thankful that he is no longer in pain. We are grateful for the time we shared during his life. GOD BLESS you, now rest in peace with the Lord.

So sad to hear the news about JP.  Annette and I will miss him!  Every time I pass a Popeyes Restaurant or see one of their commercials I will think of JP.  I learned a lot from him at the tables.  We spent many hours together whether it was in Las Vegas, Windsor, or Pittsburgh.  Those giant margaritas at MGM will always stick in my mind.  I was blessed to have JP with me when I hit the royal flush at Ballys.  It probably will never happen again in my lifetime and he was there!  I can't imagine all of the things you both went through due to his health.

The fondest memory of JP is the little talks we had about the military.  He was the ultimate airman!  Someone that was easily admired.  I am sad for the entire family.

I fondly remember the "twinkle" in JP's eyes as he would recount how he asked Barbara out on their first date at McDonalds in Omaha--how she kept the receipt that he wrote his phone number on for years til it faded.  He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone.  He will be missed.

I was very fond of James and his family.  We were stationed together at Edwards AFB and he was my inspiration to become a First Sergeant.  He and his wife, Barbara, were godparents to my youngest son, Jason.  I will truly miss this man and his friendship.

I am blessed to call J.P. my friend. I will never forget how kind, caring and compassionate he was to everyone who crossed his path.
J.P. you were loved by so many and I promise to honor you by always being a good friend to your beautiful wife. RIP. I will never forget you.

I would like to tell a little story, JP and  I went golfing and for some reason this dog started to follow us around, we tried to chase it away but it would not leave, finally on hole #8 the one by the Generals house, now this dog didn't bark once no matter what we done to it, so we pick it up and put it over the fence at the General's house, you should have heard the way that dog started barking, Jim and I grab out clubs and high tail it out of there, afterwards we would just sit and laugh about it, we could just see us getting caught, Jim a CMSGT and me a TSGT, Jim was a good friend and I loved him very much, rest in peace my friend

J.P. the best friend and buddy who let us share his life with its ups & downs. Bowling, poker parties, birthdays, anniversaries, neighborhood fun. So many good memories. Rest in Peace J.P.  Ron & Ro Taylor

 Well it all started long ago as my first journey away from home to Edwards AFB CA. I met a man that was compassionate and caring. I met JP at a dining out and for some odd reason he trusted me enough to ask me (18 years old) to watch his daughter Cathy and son James while he flew back to Pennsylvania to get Barb, his new bride.  That was just the beginning of a great friendship that never faded away. Love you much, see you soon.

I believe I met this man when I taught his son at Edwards AFB in CA.  He was a nice man and a pleasure to know, as was his son James. May he rest in peace.
