Jan Elizabeth Hall

Jan Elizabeth Hall, 57, passed away December 17, 2015 in La Jolla, California. Jan spent the last 17 days of her life at Scripps Green Hospital. She was in need of transplant surgery unavailable in Las Vegas. Jan fought her illness with dignity, courage and resolve. She received world class care at Scripps, but in the end she was just too sick to transplant. Jan was born in Australia and very proud of her nationality. She was a thirty year resident of Las Vegas. She worked as a casino dealer and will be missed by her many friends at the Mirage. Jan’s dealing career took her to over forty countries on Royal Viking Line where she worked for two years with her husband. Jan loved travel and made frequent trips to Australia with the kids. She loved taking the kids to Disneyland and the National Parks. She was an avid reader and loved cooking. Jan was a wonderful wife and the mother of two children. She is survived by her husband of 32 years Brian; her daughter Summer; son Matthew; her parents Colin and Lillian; brother Garry and her sister Karen. She loved her nieces Christy, Jennifer and Emily and her nephews Aiden and James. A memorial service for Jan will be on Tuesday December 29, 2015, 11:00 am at Palm Mortuary South Jones, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
