JANET BOSTIC Janet Elizabeth Bostic passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, April 17, 2011. She was born on Oct. 16, 1929. She received her degree at St. Mary's College and was a teacher. She later became a military wife when she married Ed Bostic. After Ed's retirement, together they opened the first independent optical company in Las Vegas, Desert Optical. Her greatest joy was her personal relationship with Jesus and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Janet is survived by sons, David (Amy), Steven (Linda), Joseph and Jeffrey (Tonya); daughter, Marilee (Bill); 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews. Viewing will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 25, at Palm Mortuary on Main Street. Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at St. James Catholic Church with fellowship to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wounded Veterans or any Veterans organization of your choice.
