Janet Marie Michel Cwiklinski

Janet Marie Cwiklinski, age 68, of North Las Vegas, NV, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday August 12th, 2017, peacefully at her home with her family around her after a courageous battle with cancer.

Janet was born in Utica, NY on March 30, 1949. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Rosella(Zorn) Michel. She retired from a career at Hartford Insurance Company where she had countless acquaintances and created lifelong friendships. In her spare time she found enjoyment in customizing and designing beautiful costume jewelry. When she wasn't customizing jewelry or spending time with her two companions Max and Morey, she enjoyed shopping, planting flowers, entertaining and socializing. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her daughter and her family.

She is survived by her daughter and her "favorite son-in-law" LeeAnne and Steve Abruzzo,Jr. of North Las Vegas, NV; Her grandchildren, Matt and Christina(Abruzzo)Engelson, Angelina Abruzzo and Gianna Abruzzo all of whom she had unique relationships with. One brother and sister in-law, David and Sharon Michel of Vernon Center, NY. One sister and brother in-law, Carol and George Nowicki of Utica, NY. One sister in-law, Kathy Michel of Watertown, NY. Several nieces and nephews especially Jerome and Cheryl(Michel)Murray with whom she had a special relationship with and many great nieces and nephews. Also, special friends "Aunt" Karla Ludwig and Joe and Patty Surowiecki of Connecticut.

She was predeceased by her husband John Cwiklinski and her brother Donald Michel.

A celebration of life service will be held a Grace Point Church on Thursday August 17th at 3:00
