Janet Mizzoni Negrete

Janet Mary-Ann Mizzoni was born on April 1,1950 in Toronto, Canada. In August of 1961, Janet and her family relocated to Las Vegas, NV. In August of 1969, Janet met the love of her life, Raul. After a short courtship of 2 1/2 months, the couple decided to marry. The date would be October 31,1969–Halloween. Their romance would span 56 1/2 years.

Together, they would raise three wonderful children. Janet’s greatest love was for her family. She also enjoyed watching old movies, playing bingo, listening to music and dancing. For much of her marriage, Janet was a proud homemaker. Preparing home cooked meals and keeping a tidy home were things which came naturally to Janet.

As her kids grew older, Janet became restless. Finding the right job was not difficult. She was eventually hired as a slot attendant in the year 2000. This role suited Janet perfectly, as she enjoyed talking with her regular customers and listening to their stories. After 20 satisfying years of service, Janet hung up her change belt in March of 2020.

At any social or family gathering, you always knew where to find Janet. Simply look for wherever the crowd was at. Janet was like a magnet. Everyone wanted to talk to her, to listen to her and to be around her. People will always remember Janet for her honesty, her wit, her lightheartedness, and for her kindness.

Janet was cherished as a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a good, special friend. She will be missed greatly. Preceding Janet in death are her father Aldo, her mother Angelina, and brothers Louis and Mark.

Janet is survived by her husband Raul, daughters Angela and Jessica, son Anthony, grandchildren Perry, Angelina, Elliott and Lillian, brothers John, Raymond and Virginio, and sister Valerie. “We love you, Janet.”
