

Jean Roche, wife for 62 years of Stan Roche, mother of 3 sons Dale, David and Dennis, grandmother of Leslie, great-grandmother of Aurora and Zachary, passed away peacefully in Las Vegas on March 3, 2011. Daughter of Glen and Mabel Dyer, Jean grew up in Elgin, Illinois and moved to California with her husband Stan in 1951 after serving in the Marine Corp as a sergeant during the Korean War. Jean and Stan lived in the San Fernando Valley for over 40 years while they raised their family. Jean and Stan moved to the Las Vegas area in 1995. Jean was an avid duplicate bridge player, and was a highly sought after partner among the many bridge groups to which she belonged. Jean also had a lifelong love of arts and crafts and taught Brazilian embroidery classes. She was preceded in death by her son David, and her two brothers Ervin and Phillip. Memorial services will be held on March 9, at 5:00 PM at Palm Mortuary at 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89129.
