Jean R. Sherman

Jean R. Sherman, 86, formerly of Cumberland, Maryland, and living in Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Nathan Adelson Hospice - East in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born February 15, 1925, in Cumberland, Maryland, Mrs. Sherman was the daughter of the late Earl C. Robertson and Ora A. (Bauer) Robertson. She was also preceded in death by her husband and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Jean was a retired registered nurse. She is survived by her son, Robert P. Sherman and his wife, Zola, Lancaster, Ohio; her friend, Dave Adelman, Las Vegas, Nevada; her brother-in-law, Lynn Sherman and his wife Beth, Lost Creek, West Virginia; as well as three grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, Maryland (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Monday, August 1, 2011, from 10:00am to 11:00am. A graveside service will be conducted at the Rose Hill Cemetery on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 11:00am, with Reverend Stephen Yelovich officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
