

Jeffrey was born a beloved son to Charles Pearson & Patricia Margaret (Flanagan) Hayes on June 5th, 1955 in Media, Pennsylvania.
Jeffrey is a little brother to Catherine, Douglas & Peter Hayes.
Jeffrey graduated from Penncrest High School in Media, Pennsylvania in 1973.
Jeffrey is a veteran whom served honorably in the United States Air Force for 20 years, as an Aerospace Maintenance Superintendent, achieving the rank of Senior Master Sargent. His experience in the Air Force played an important role in his life.
During Jeffrey’s service, he was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal with two devices, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Medal with one device, Meritorious Service Medal with one device, Air Force Training Ribbon, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon with two devices, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award with four devices, Humanitarian Service Medal, NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon with two devices, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon with one device, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with two devices, and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal with five devices.
After his service, he went on to further contract assignments overseas for a few years. The Air Force taught him the value of discipline and investing in a cause larger than himself.
In 1977, Jeff met Elizabeth. The two were married from 1978 to 1990 and had two children, Camia & Donald Hayes.
In 1988, Jeff met Teresita Ytol. The two were married from 1990 to 2010 and had Cheryl Hayes.
After retiring from the military, Jeff’s hobbies include reading and playing solitaire. His favorite shows are Jeopardy, Whose Line Is It Anyway, The Price is Right, Murder She Wrote, and M.A.S.H. His favorite foods include ribs, baked potatoes, Planter’s mixed nuts, Monterey Jack & Colby cheese, and Snyder’s Sourdough Pretzels. He loves the Pittsburgh Steelers, going to the beach, and waking up early to watch the morning news. He hates mowing the lawn but a cold beer always makes it worth while.
Jeffrey was preceded by both of his parents and is survived by his sister Catherine Hayes; brothers Douglas Hayes & Peter Hayes; son Donald Hayes; daughter Camia Hayes and grand-daughter Cailey; daughter Cheryl Hayes and grand-daughters Elena & Lana.
A burial service will be held on Wednesday, December 7th, 2022 at 9:20AM at the Southern Nevada Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr, Boulder City, NV 89005. Family and friends are invited to come. Please arrive at 9:00AM.
