Jessica Nadia Sandow Langgin passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 55, after a long medical battle. She was born on November 18, 1970, in Queens, New York, to the late Ronald Sandow and Antoinette Murray. Jessica was a longtime resident of Las Vegas, Nevada. She is survived by her two daughters, Jacynta and Rachel Langgin, who were the center of her life; her sisters, Aimee Switzer and Lindsay Murray; her brother, Philip Kaifer; and the wide community of loved ones she built and sustained over the years. Her appreciation for life was evident to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Jessica approached life as she did travel—with curiosity, courage, and an open heart—and she encouraged others to do the same. She had a rare, nonjudgmental presence that made people feel safe, seen, and understood. One of her defining gifts was her ability to gently push others beyond their comfort zones while meeting them with acceptance and compassion. She connected deeply, listened carefully, and made people feel and know that they mattered. She cared profoundly for her longtime family and friends of Bill W. and was deeply proud of her 31 years of sobriety. Her commitment to service was also reflected in her proud affiliation with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) Cancer United’s Las Vegas Light the Night Walk, where she fundraised for 24 years in support of cancer research. Jessica was also well known for fundraising efforts benefiting friends and families of fallen law enforcement officers across the country. She never forgot her heritage and thoughtfully instilled Jewish values into her daily life and relationships. Jessica passed away following complications from multiple medical conditions after a successful open-heart surgery in April 2024. She remained a fierce and resilient advocate for her own and others’ health. Through her compassion, honesty, and willingness to truly listen, she created connections that endured, leaving a community forever shaped by her presence.
