Best mom I could ever have😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

As attorneys and judges we deal in words for a living, so I should have no problem finding the "right" words to appropriately honor my friend Jill; but I've been unable to put words to paper these past couple weeks. I'll try now knowing full well that my words will be inadequate and nowhere close to doing Jill or her memory justice.
Jill and I grew up as baby attorneys at the same firm. We bonded over typical associate issues and struggles. I admired Jill's razor-sharp wit, dry sense of humor, work ethic, and legal acumen. We both looked to our friend and senior associate, Michael Feder, as a mentor. We enjoyed sharing complaints, conspiratorial laughter, and whispers about firm life, billables, partners, and even some other associates 🙂.
I remember going to young Gabe's birthday parties at Jill's house. I'll never forget the sheer delight and utter joy of partaking in street tacos for the first time in my life at one of those parties. We bonded over becoming new parents and raising our respective sons.
Eventually we went our separate ways in the legal field. Fortunately, we kept in touch through the years. Lunches with Jill and Michael were always something I looked forward to. Indeed, I will be eternally grateful the three of were able to meet up for lunch just a few weeks ago.
When I campaigned for judge, Jill fully supported me. She and her family came to events, introduced me to people, and even represented me at a few events when I couldn't be there.
When I applied for a judicial appointment, Jill enthusiastically agreed to be one of the three attorneys to write an official recommendation letter to the governor on my behalf.
Jill was a pretty private person, but her love for Gabe and Joey was readily apparent to anyone who spent any time with her.
Jill, thank you for always being a true friend. My life and the lives of so many others are better because of you. As Michael would say, "May your memory be a blessing," and there is no doubt in my mind it will be.

I don’t really know what to say.  Goodbye is not ok.  I will miss you more than anything in this world.  You were the best big sister I could ever have.  In all these years, we have so many memories.  And I won’t be able to make anymore of these with you.  I love you,  And I miss you so very much.  Annie

During our brief time working together, the one thing that has always remained in my mind is your genuine kindness. Sometimes, The Lord takes his Angels back because they are too good for this world. That is what I believe has happened here. You will be missed immensely, however, you will never be forgotten.

You are one of the good ones. Period. There must be something more that we don’t understand that answers the question why!? We did not agree on sports (at all) but we remained friends regardless. You were always there to help and I’ll never forget that. Thanks for being you, always. Condolences to the family.
