Jo Ann D. Conners peacefully left us on July 1st, 2025, while in her Las Vegas NV home. She was the first born to Roscoe and Dorothy Grant in St. Louis Missouri, has four surviving siblings and was a devoted daughter. She grew up in Jennings Missouri and met her adoring husband, Gary Conners, at the age of 24 and was married for 48 years. Throughout her life, Jo Ann was known to have a generous nature and a kind spirit.
Right out of high school, Jo Ann pursued her passion for hair by attending beauty college and became a hairdresser. For many years, after leaving the salon, she lovingly did the hair of family and friends. Over the course of her life, she wore many hats — working at airport TSA security, in retail, keeping books at a car dealership, building computers for friends, and later in life, serving others with deep compassion as a caregiver.
In her 40s, she found renewed faith and returned to the Catholic Church, attending Mass regularly and drawing peace and purpose from her spiritual life.
She was a devoted reader and an avid hobbyist. She found joy in sewing, collecting Native American art and wolf figurines, and she held a special place in her heart for dogs — especially Dobermans, which she bred for a time. Her connection to animals was as strong and loyal as the breed she adored.
She is survived by loving friends and family who will carry her memory forward with warmth and fondness.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a local animal shelter or organizations supporting caregiver.
