

Joel E. Jobst, 77, a native of South Milwaukee, Wl., a 44 year resident of Las Vegas, and 12 year resident of Whitefish, MT., passed away on July 5, 2013. Words alone cannot convey a life fully and passionately lived, but in the following we try: husband, father, friend, nuclear physicist, machinist, woodworker, mechanic, photographer, gardener, scoutmaster, hiker, camper, bicyclist, wine maker, reader, care giver, world traveler, birdwatcher, ever curious and kind. He retired from EG&G in 1995 subsequently designing and installing residential solar energy systems through his own company. Family and friends visited often and will fondly remember celebrations particularly at his home in Montana. Joel's life was a remarkable and fulfilling journey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward & Cecilia and wife, Corinne. He is survived by his wife Priscilla (Scalley), sons Brian (Heidi Freeman) and Kevin, daughter Erin (Ken Tovar), brother Jim (Mary), sister Joyce (Tom), sisters-in-law Ruth (Steve) and Donna (Joe), six treasured grandchildren by marriage (Kate, Claire, Timothy, Rachel, Aidan and Nora), other relatives, and countless friends. Viewing will be at 2:00pm and services at 4:00pm at Palm Mortuary on Tuesday, July 9. ln lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory be made to the Alpine Theater Project, P.O. Box 1959, Whitefish, MT 59937.
