He was known for being the rock, one to never falter, but always stand strong when it came to the most important thing in his life, FAMILY.
He will be remembered by his true kindness and compassion that knew no boundaries. John's flare for words, no matter how colorful are engrained in the countless memories and lessons that everyone who met him had the privilege of sharing through John's short but truly fulfilled 50 years.
We will never forget his smile, that always seemed to shine through the darkest of times. His laugh, that seemed to always take the pain away. His love, whether tough or true always and will continue to carry us when we need it most.
He is the first person in his immediate family to have passed, but is preceded in death but numerous aunts and uncles and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Geraline Marie Reyes Duenas. His children; Tåno' John & Dominique Duenas, Natibu John Duenas, Sumåhi Janine Duenas, Michael Anthony & Natasha Reyes.
Three grandchildren; Nå'i Jeanine, Ånimu John, and Talo'åni Jane. His parents, Juan and Jane Duenas.
His six sisters; Norma, Karen, Phyllis, Doreen, Darlene, and Sherry and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A visitation for John will be held Sunday, June 7, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a Rosary at 12:00 PM, Family Remembrance Service at 1:00 PM. A Catholic Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM with a Celebration of Life Service to take place from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. All services will take place at Palm S Jones Mortuary, 1600 S Jones BLVD Las Vegas, NV 89146, on the corner of Oakey and Jones.
