John George Karas

John George Karas passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the age of 74. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, raised in Spain, and traveled to many places throughout his life and spent the last 22 years in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alfreda Karas and his two older sisters, Alexandra Gonos and Frances Beadell.

He is survived by:

His 2 younger brothers Anthony & James Karas

His 2 daughters, Katrina Barrilleaux (Troy) & Deana

Smith (Steven)

His grandchildren Troy Barrilleaux Jr, Joshua

Barrilleaux, Savannah Barrilleaux, Devin

Smith and Ariel Smith

He served our country with great dedication for over 23 years in United States Navy, and then he retired from Lockheed Martin. He also served faithfully in his church for the last 20 years.
