John “Jack” Kilmartin, 75, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on July 3, 2011. He was born in Bloomington, Illinois on February 18, 1936. After high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and proudly served for 11 years on submarines and commissioned the USS John Marshall. Jack lived in Southern California for many years before moving to Las Vegas in 1989. His two sisters Rosemary and “Topsy” predeceased him. Jack is survived by his loving wife Karen; his children Lisa and Sean; grandchildren, Brandon, Leianne, Chelsea, Sarah and Rhyan; his two brothers, Pete and Bill; and many nieces and nephews. Services are scheduled Thursday July 7, 2011 with viewing at 10:00-11:00 with services following at 11:00am, all at Palm Mortuary, 7400 West Cheyenne Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society Training Support Center.
