Johnnie Nell Harris, 76, of North Las Vegas, passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2011. She was born Feb. 5, 1935, in Prentiss, Miss. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 56 years, Deacon Leon Harris Sr. Johnnie is survived by her sons, Leon (Ernestine) Harris Jr. and Howard (Trevelle) Harris; daughters, Tracey Carl Sr.) Nicks, Helen Harris and Charlean (Marvin) Mondy; sister, Dixie Ree (David) Hearn; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89131. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at True Love Missionary Baptist Church, 1941 N. H St. Burial following at Palm Memorial Park - Northwest.
