Jose Jorge Cruz

Jose Jorge Cruz had a deep love for his family. He was there for every quinceanera, graduation, wedding and birth of each grandchild. Jose Jorge Cruz, age 63, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022. Jose was born to Maria Antonia Cruz on December 6, 1958 in San Matias, El Salvador. He was an only child. Jose met and married the love of his life Ana "Cecilia" Majano. They married on March 14, 1981 in Ciudad Barrios, El Salvador. Together they had five beautiful children, four who were born in El Salvador and the fifth after Jose and Cecilia moved to the United States. Jose grew up working for the cooperativa cafetalera and in his later years, had a career in golf course maintenance. He had a deep love for his family. Jose was there for every quinceanera, graduation, wedding and birth of each grandchild. He enjoyed eating burritos and pizza, using electronics and spending time with the family. Jose is survived by his wife Cecilia Cruz, by his daughters; Mexi Cruz (Marvin Cardona), Yessenia Cruz (Luis Herrera), Norma Cruz (Geovany Cardona), Iris Cruz, and Brenda Cruz (Francisco Teran) and grandchildren; Emily Cardona, Jocelyn Cardona. Ismael Herrera, Sebastian Herrera, Angelo Herrera, Jason Cardona, Cynthia Cardona, Erik Cruz and Natalia Teran. A visitation for Jose will be held Monday, May 16, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Palm Northwest Mortuary, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. A funeral service will occur Monday, May 16, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. A committal service will occur Monday, May 16, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
