Joseph Thomas Keys, 70, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012. He was born on March 16, 1942 in Indiana, Pennsylvania to Wilma and Joseph Keys. Joe moved to Henderson, Nevada as a small child. He attended Rancho High School and was on the wrestling and football team. Joe enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 17 years old. He was honorably discharged as a Private First Class. Joe returned to Las Vegas from Germany and was a Mercy Paramedic for many years. He then spent his adulthood working in the casino industry. Joe loved history and talking about the history of Las Vegas. Joe’s life was centered around family, food and fun. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilma and Joseph and his brother, Richard. Joe is survived by his former longtime wife and friend, Susan; brother Jim; sister Brenda; children Marnie, Rosie and Joseph. He is also survived by his grandchildren David, Sarah and Sophia.
