

Joseph Harry Kissinger, 57, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed unexpectedly on July 8, 2024. Joe was a fun-loving soul who made a friend of everyone he met, and his vibrant personality will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Born on December 17, 1966, in San Diego, California to parents Harry and Jeanne during his father’s time in the U.S. Navy, Joe’s family moved back to Cleveland not long after his birth. Joe graduated from Kirtland High School in Kirtland, Ohio in 1985 and completed a bachelor’s degree in marketing at Ohio University in 1989. After college, Joe began a career in the hospitality industry with 12 years at Marriott International. He spent the last 16 years of his career working in Chicago for the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority. Joe retired in 2020 and relocated to Las Vegas in 2022 with his wife, Ashley.
Joe was an avid musician and guitarist having played in Chicago-area bands during his time there. He was also a lifelong sports fan, especially of the Cleveland Browns from birth and the Chicago Cubs, having attended countless games while living next to Wrigley Field for 18 years. Joe spent his final years enjoying the social and recreational activities of his community.
Joe is survived by his wife of 30 years, Ashley Byrne Kissinger of Las Vegas, Nevada; his mother Jeanne Zarbock Kissinger and her husband Robert Schnaufer of Madison, Ohio; his brother, Scott (Rochelle) Kissinger and nieces, Amber and Samantha Kissinger, of Kirtland, Ohio; his parents-in-law Roger (Karen) Byrne of Cordova, Tennessee; and his brother-in-law Elliott (Wendy) Byrne, nephews Brandon and Austin Byrne, and nieces Jordan and Jessi Byrne of San Diego, California. Joe is predeceased by his father, Harry J. “Chip” Kissinger.
