Joseph Alexander Moll

02/08/1966 - 09/06/2020

Joseph Alexander Moll, 54, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep September 6, 2020. It was a silent disease, hypertension, that caused his heart to stop.

Born February 8, 1966 and raised in the Metro Detroit Area, Joe became quite the traveler in his lifetime. He was one of the few people that combined career with his love of travel and adventure as he logged hundreds of thousands of air miles in his lifetime. Beside Michigan, he also lived in both Minneapolis and Las Vegas.

Northwest, Delta, and Allegiant Airlines welcomed Joe into their arms with his special talent of connecting with people. His illustrious career in the airlines spanned 28+ years going back to 1989. He began as a flight attendant and moved upward to training and senior management. His talents were wide and accomplished. During a break in his airline career, Joe wanted to try something new. He became a Licensed Journeyman Electrician as part of the IBEW – Local 58 (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). Most recently, he was pursuing studies in solar energy to add to his electrical skillset.

Joe was remarkable at combining his love of travel with activity & entertainment. He had an acute awareness of the importance of a life lived with joy and people he cared about. Whether it was attending a sporting event (Oh! how he loved Detroit baseball, hockey, and Minnesota Sports), or concerts, he always had a good story to tell of the excitement and people whom he shared those experiences with. The Rolling Stones were his favorite from the time he was a child. If you knew Joe, you had to become a Stones fan!

People admired Joe for how he was able to build valued relationships with friends and all those he touched. Lending an ear, giving advice, helping others in their time of need was a gift he gave freely. It brought joy to Joe to make others smile. This love of people allowed him to make friends all over the globe.

Joseph was faithful to his catholic roots, attended mass regularly and used prayer in his daily life. His devotion helped him through difficult times, and his belief systems were strong and unparalleled. While his passing was completely unexpected, he is at peace with God and surrounded by so many of our loved ones in Heaven.

Joseph is survived by his father, Joseph Thomas Moll; his sister, Deanna Marie Moll; and his brother, Erik Matthew Moll.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary Kathleen Moll.

We thank you for your cherished love of ‘our’ Joseph. His light continues to shine throughout us all. Joe surrounds us with his spirit and energy. Smile and laugh when you share a ‘Joe’ story, as these precious times will always live on in our hearts and minds.

My husband Norm and I met Joe several years ago through friends Mike and Rekha. What a great, genuine soul with a heart of gold! We had so much fun going to baseball and basketball games, music concerts and just hanging out talking and laughing. He was really great with our kids and his passing has left a big hole in our hearts. I’ve attached the last text he sent us, right after one of those really great visits. Love you, Joe💕💕

While I’ve only known Joe for four years it seems like a lot longer. The first time I met Joe was on my birthday. The three of us had dinner together, me Deanna and Joe. We had a great time, lots of laughs! Since that time we had many more dinners together and tons more laughs! I will always remember playing games, laughing, drinking and eating good food together. Ironically, the last communication I had with Joe was a text message he sent me on my birthday. He was a great guy, who was loved by everyone who knew him and he will truly be missed. 💞

Joe was a knight in shining armor who drove a black chevy. After my husband passed away I sold my house in Sun City Summerlin
Which was next door to Joe Moll Sr.
I could not have done it all without Joe Jr. When I needed help the most he was there. He helped me pack the last few things from my house and get it all cleaned up for the new owners. Joe was selfless and showed true compassion for everyone. He was an angel that God sent me when I needed it most.

With deepest sympathies to the Moll Family

We met Joseph when my daughter lived in Las Vegas.
Joseph loved being with Jen and our grandkids , especially at Christmas time. After meeting Joseph he would always call me, especially on Father’s Day. He always remembered the little things, I will miss that.
Joseph was a good family man, devoted son. So sad to see him pass.
The Lord has taken one of the best, may he rest in peace.

Joe was a great friend and co-worker. We met back in the NWA years and remained friends through Allegiant. Joe always had your back and was willing to help in any way he could. You will be missed my friend. Rest in Peace Joe. Bill
