May 25, 1977 – April 8, 2026
Joshua Brandon Barber, lovingly known as Josh, passed away on April 8, 2026, at the age of 48. Born on May 25, 1977, in Columbus, Ohio, Josh later made his home in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he built a life centered on faith, family, and his passion for motorcycles.
Josh proudly served his country in the United States Army, carrying that same sense of dedication and strength into every aspect of his life. For over 20 years, he worked as a Harley-Davidson Master Mechanic, earning a reputation for his unmatched expertise, steady hands, and deep knowledge. If you knew bikes, you knew Josh. His knowledge was unmatched, his work spoke for itself, and he always took the time to help others learn. In the motorcycle community, he wasn’t just respected, he was family. Josh was more than a mechanic; he was a mentor, a brother, and a friend to many. He was deeply respected in the motorcycle community and even more deeply loved.
Above all, Josh loved Jesus, and that faith shaped the way he lived and loved. His family was his greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Renee, and a proud father to his five children: Melody, Savannah, Griffin, Scarlett, and Leonor. He is also survived by his mother Deborah, his father Joe, his sister Nicole, his brother Justin and nephew Teagin. In addition to the family he was born into, Josh became a brother to the family he built through deep rooted friendships.
Josh also had a deep love for the Ohio State Buckeyes and, of course, for the open road. Whether working on a bike, watching a game, or spending time with those he loved, he lived fully and authentically.
Though his absence leaves an ache that cannot be filled, his memory will live on in every mile ridden, every engine turned, and every story shared. Josh will be remembered for his strength, his generosity, his loyalty, and the way he would pull out his tools to help every person that crossed his path. He leaves behind a legacy of love, respect, and a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
On May 8, 2026, family and friends will gather at Red Rock Harley-Davidson to honor Josh’s life with a private “Ride for Josh” to the Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr. Boulder City, NV 89005 for his services starting at noon . Afterward, he will take his “Last Ride” with family, friends and his community back to Red Rock Harley Davidson 2260 S Rainbow Blvd Las Vegas, NV 89146 , where his life will be celebrated in the way he would have loved surrounded by his people. There will be an additional service held on May 25, 2026 at Eagleview at Blacklick Woods Golf Course 7309 E. Livingston Ave. Reynoldsburg, OH 43068 1-4pm.
Ride hard, ride free, Josh. We’ll take it from here.
