Juan de Dios Flores

Juan De Dios Flores, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, in North Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 87.

Juan was born on March 8, 1939, in Villanueva, Zacatecas, Mexico, to Jesús Flores and María de Jesús Murillo Flores. Raised in the Catholic faith, he carried his devotion to God throughout his life, finding strength, guidance, and comfort in his unwavering beliefs.

A charismatic and hardworking man, Juan was known for his strong will, ambition, generosity, and steadfast dedication to his family. He devoted his life to providing for those he loved and took great pride in doing so. His warm smile, infectious personality, and wonderful sense of humor made him unforgettable to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Whether sharing a story or playing one of his many practical jokes, Juan had a remarkable gift for making people laugh and bringing joy to those around him.

Juan had a lifelong love of horses and a deep passion for Charrería, the traditional Mexican equestrian sport that is considered the birthplace of the American cowboy tradition. Proud of his heritage, he founded Los Caporales, named after his beloved ranch, where he shared his love of horsemanship, culture, and family traditions with generations to come.

Music was another great joy in Juan's life. He had a deep appreciation for Mexican regional music and loved to sing, often filling his home and family gatherings with song. He admired many of the genre's greatest artists, including Antonio Aguilar, Vicente Fernández, Javier Solís, and many others whose music celebrated the traditions and spirit of Mexico. Whether singing along to his favorite songs or sharing stories inspired by their lyrics, Juan found happiness in the rich cultural heritage he cherished.

Juan had many interests that brought him happiness throughout his life. He enjoyed watching boxing and horse racing, always appreciating the excitement and skill of the sport. He also loved gardening and took immense pride in creating and maintaining a beautifully landscaped yard, a reflection of his patience, hard work, and attention to detail. An avid reader, Juan enjoyed expanding his knowledge and spending quiet moments with a good book. He also had a deep appreciation for good food and never passed up the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal surrounded by family and friends.

Above all, Juan will be remembered for the love he had for his family. His greatest joy was being surrounded by those he loved, sharing laughter, stories, and traditions that will continue to live on through future generations. His legacy is one of faith, perseverance, generosity, and unconditional love.

Juan was preceded in death by his parents, Jesús Flores and María de Jesús Murillo Flores; his beloved daughter, Martha Flores Aguayo; and several brothers.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Consuelo Flores; his daughters, Ema Flores and Mariza Flores; his brothers, Gabriel Flores and Ramiro Flores; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Juan's memory—and the laughter, love, and traditions he shared—will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A Funeral Service will be held at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, US, on July 8, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
