Weary

God saw you getting weary. He did what He thought best. He put his arms around you and said, Come and rest. He opened up His golden gates on that heartbreaking day, and with His arms around you, you gently slipped away. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands to rest. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone. A part of us went with you, the day God called you home.

I will never forget the man that baptized me and dedicated my son to Jesus! He was an inspiration to more people than he could possibly know. He came to the hospital to pray for my mother who was diagnosed with cancer the night before she went for surgery! That was 21 years ago and my mom is still here and cancer free! Thank you for the faith you shared and the love you gave to everyone that entered your life! You are so loved and you are truly missed!! Until we meet again my friend!! I love you!!

I remember on Wednesday and Sunday nights after church going with Pastor Juan, Peggy and Lucas to Jerry's Nugget to talk and have dinner, usually the prime rib. We'd stay often times until after midnight. I also remember going over to their house and it usually was in utter chaos but he always made it work cause everything was on Pastor Juan time. He was the only man I ever felt comfortable talking to no matter the subject and I was glad he was the one who baptized me. He was my pastor, my mentor, my brother, and father I will miss him greatly. Welcome home, I miss you and love you.
