Judy Eileen Foremaster

With a broken heart, we announce that our beautiful mother Judy Foremaster passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Nathan Adelson Hospice. She fiercely fought cancer for 14 months then suffered a series of strokes during the last two weeks from which she could not recover.

Judy was born October 7, 1955, to Theron (Pete) and Lucille (Galbreath) Ghrist in North Hollywood, California. In 1971, the family relocated to Overton, Nevada. In 1973, she married the love of her life Douglas Foremaster. Judy and Doug moved to Las Vegas where they raised their daughters Misty and Crystal. Judy began working for the Clark County School District in 1982, working in various support related positions. She retired in 2014 after working at Molasky Middle School for several years. Judy and Doug loved to travel visiting friends and family, hosting Sunday dinners and holidays. They would make any day a holiday in order to entertain. She was selfless in charity and has an unwavering commitment to help anyone and everyone.

Doug and Judy were married for 46 years before his death in 2019. She was also preceded in death by her parents Pete and Lucille Ghrist. Judy is survived by daughter Misty (Clint) Ryan, Crystal (Robert) Owens, stepdaughter Jody McCune and stepson Todd Strickland. She is also survived by her grandchildren Coltin Owens, Cody Owens, Bailee (Tim) Rasmussen, Clayton (Emily) McCune, Jacob McCune, Brandon Ryan and Vairick Strickland, her siblings Ron (Gail) Ghrist, Linda (Pat) Guarino and Diane (Jose) Andrade, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Judy met many wonderful people living so many years in Las Vegas and while working for the school district and leaves behind numerous dear friends and bonus grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Palm Northwest Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Judy’s name to Nathan Adelson Hospice.
