

Juleick Maurice Smith lost his battle to cancer on February 8, 2018 at the age of 44. He was born April 8, 1973 in Bronx, New York and had been a resident of Nevada for over 20 years. Juleick was a Corrections Officer for the LVMPD for approximately 12 years. Juleick was a man who enjoyed fishing, watching and making bets on sports, listening to all kinds of music, dancing and especially travelling. But above all, Juleick loved spending time with his family and friends. Juleick was a loving husband and a best friend to his wife. He was also a fun-loving father who had the best sense of humor and good advice. Juleick’s bright smile and adventurous spirit will be missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his Pop, Austin Roy Smith; his Myline, Aline Walton Smith; and his Mommy, Norma Mae Hemphill. Juleick is survived by his devoted wife, Lucy Smith; two daughters, Simone Smith and Michelle Boling; son, Matthew Boling; brother, Jeffrey (Joanna) Hemphill Smith; niece, Jenna Smith; uncle, Jeffrey Ortiz; and a host of “cousins” and extended family members. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, February 17th at 12 noon at Palm South Jones Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146.
