

June Rajnovich, 78, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at her home Sept. 29, 2010. She was born June 24, 1932, in Buffalo, N.Y. Shortly after graduating from nursing school in 1954, she met her future husband, Edward. They married Sept. 29, 1956, at Immaculate Conception Church in Buffalo. Edward and June had lived in Canada and New York before moving to Las Vegas in December 1965. June worked as a registered nurse and volunteer at Valley Hospital and then with her husband at his medical practice until 1985. She then became a full-time homemaker until her passing. June enjoyed painting, reading, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. June was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Elizabeth Panzarella; and brothers, John, Louis and Sam Panzarella. She is survived by her husband, of 54 years, Dr. Edward Rajnovich; children, Mary "Beth" (Paul) Walsh, Lisa (Pete) Weissgarber, Denise (Art) Jimenez, Ed Rajnovich and Michelle (Karl) Probst; six grandchildren, Nathan, Erik, Brian, Shane, Katie and Kyle. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3046 Alta Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89107. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shade Tree Women's Shelter or the Salvation Army. June had the biggest heart and greatest laugh anyone could possibly have. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. For June, life is changed, not ended, as she now lives in the Kingdom of Heaven.
