Justin Matthew Horvath

Justin Matthew Horvath was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, friend, and superhero. He was born in Wayne, Michigan July 9th, 1982 to parents Matthew and Karen Horvath. While growing up, he enjoyed competing in baseball and basketball during middle school and bowling and baseball during his high school years. He qualified for the National Coca Cola Bowling Championship in Utah and his bowling team won the state championship in his senior year. Justin graduated high school in 2000 and went on to college at Eastern Michigan University. He was a bona fide genius, but was (mostly) humble and kind to those around him.

His first job after graduation was at Coca Cola before joining the Border Patrol. He served honorably as a federal agent and excelled at this physically demanding job, working irregular hours in unpredictable weather. After leaving the Border Patrol, he moved to Las Vegas in 2009 and began working in the restaurant industry. Soon after he was introduced to the love of his life, and best friend, Ashley. They wed in 2013 surrounded by their family and friends. In 2019 they expanded their household when Leigh was born and again in 2022 when they welcomed Mariah. He welcomed a career change into finance when he needed his work hours to more closely align with his family. He took extra classes to gain knowledge into the field and was able to spend much more time with the people he cherished.

Of all his monikers, his favorite was “daddy”. He was a doting father who treasured spending quality time with his girls, whether it was playing games, listening to music, or watching movies. If you spent more than 60 seconds with Justin you knew how proud he was of his family. He was a devoted family man and a wonderful friend. He would truly do anything for someone in his inner circle, no questions asked.

Justin was a superfan of that inner circle of people, and of the topics he loved. He supported his favorite teams and athletes with every fiber of his being and as a pop culture aficionado, he was an ardent fan of the DC universe, especially Batman. His faithful tradition of watching National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation was known by all and he could quote the entire movie verbatim.

Everyone who loved Justin was fortunate enough to have a different and special relationship with him. He remembered specifics about what people were interested in or going through and was great at having conversations with his favorite people about anything - or nothing at all. There aren’t enough words in the world to describe his generous spirit.

On June 25th, 2026 he passed peacefully at home. He is loved and greatly missed.

Justin is survived by his wife, Ashley; daughters, Leigh and Mariah; parents, Matthew and Karen; brother, Greg; and a host of extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Palm Northwest Mortuary , Juniper Hall , 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, Nevada 89131, on July 1, 2026, beginning at 3:00 pm.
