We had the pleasure of meeting Karen in 2007, Karen was one of those people who was like a breath of fresh air. Her infectious smile and warm personality made her one of those special people that it was a joy to be around.

Memory is a way of holding onto the one's you love . . . she will forever be in our hearts.

We met Karen many years ago when AOL was a new idea.  She had a "lite chat" room where everyone laughed and got to know each other.  Our families became friends, emailed pictures (I remember the Elmo picture- Karen had sent us it when it was fresh and new) and we even talked on the phone.  Trading Christmas presents became an annual tradition with Las Vegas items and a musical Santa adding to our holiday.  A little slot machine magnet on the 'fridge is one of our grandkids' favorite things.  Eventually we travelled to Vegas from northern New York to meet our friends in person.  Some of us even went on the New York New York roller coaster.  Karen insisted.  Obviously she was the leader of that event.  We will always love her and miss her dearly.  Tony and Rosie, we are here for you and will be sending presents as usual this year.  Karen's will be something for someone in need given in Angel Karen's name.  God bless all of you.

Aunt Karen I will always hold a very special place in my heart for you. I have always thought of you over the years and wished you much happiness. I know I should have made more of an effort to come see you, since I considered you my favorite. :) Time just seems to slip away. I recall fun times when you use to be the teacher and I was the student. LOL ...I love you very much and knowing you are free of pain I can rest that you are in a better place. I know you had to of known I sincerely loved you so very much ! xox

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Tony & Rosemarie, first of all my heart is sheading tears also. I envy you ,Tony and Rosemarie. I wish I knew Karen as long as yall. I knew in my heart long ago I was missing something in my life, a dear and sweet family member. In the mid 90's my instincts were true. When we met on Lake Texoma in the mid 90's at the catfisf place, I did'nt have to look twice to know that Karen was my cousin and a livley one at that!  Karen was in my thoughts daily and yall were in my prayers at night. I wish we could have gotten together more often. We,my wife Deborah and I took care of Karen's dad,James until his last whistle in his breath.  I know that you and Rosey did the same for my cousin. God bless you for taking care of my cousin.  Karen could light up a room or light up the night. She was A Full Moon 24/7, and a blessing to talk too on the phone, she made me come alive (Texas Time). How sweet the minutes,hours and years. I wish I could have known and been closer to you and Karen and Rosemarie. God only knows what will happen today and tomorrow, but I know on my  birthday 05/13 God was blessed with a laugh and a certain smile when Karen arrived. Now she can talk,walk and tell jokes with her mother and her dad James and catch up with things that were lost in time. To close I've always said that my friends were my family and my family are my friends, but Karen was both. Love and prayers Karen (cuz) and you Tony and Rosemarie and for PEACE ON EARTH AS IN HEAVEN. The terrible time this past winter that I was going through with cancer believe it or not you helped me get through it with all the love and good advice.  It is going to be awful without you.  You were never without a smile on your face and how you made Mike and me laugh.  You were like a sister to him.  He loved to joke with you and get you going.  Until we meet again in a better place. We will never forget all the good and bad times we went through in the years that we have known you.  You were the light of my brother's life and for that I will love you always.  Rest in peace, love, until we see each other again.

Today, I say goodbye to the most beautiful sister in the world, Karen Lynn Grasso.  For 30 yrs. she has done nothing but bring happiness and joy to our family. She has enriched my brother Anthony, and her daughter Rosemaries life in a way that no one ever could. She made you laugh, smile, and still today, I see and hear her. I love you and miss you so very much Karen. No one could ever take your place in this world. You were and are a one of a kind, special person. Life without you will be so different for all of us who knew and loved you. You will remain forever in our hearts and one day, we will all meet again.  I thank you for being a very big part of my life and my family, especially my brother.  You are the love of his life and will always be, forever till eternity. Karen - I know you will be Tony (I've never called him Tony before, see what you did) and Rosemarie's guardian angel from above and take care of them thru life. I will always remember the happy times we spent together when I visited Las Vegas.  You always made me feel at home. I never wanted to leave.  We will not say goodbye, but instead say until we meet again.

Words can't express how much I am missing My Lil Sis right now as well as everyone who Loved her and all those whose lives she has touched.
I am so Blessed to have had  one Special Day with her a few months ago that I will cherish!
On the way to the Hospital for another test, she said she was not afraid to die!
 I know she was ready to go home to be with Jesus & Her Mommy & all of her loved ones!
What a Wonderful reunion she is having!

Tony, Karen was loved and will be missed by everyone. She touched so many people with her warm personality and genuine smile. You have been a wonderful husband and best friend to Karen. Thank you for bringing Karen to Main Street so we could give her a big hug and let her know how much she meant to us.

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.

One time Aunt Karen and I were singing songs from the Carpenter's. Of course we sang Top of the World, and then we sang Hurting each other. At the time, my bf and I were not together. So as we sang the song, I was sad. Karen was determined to make me laugh. So when it got to the line that says "Can't we stop hurting each other, making each other cry, tearing each other apart, she began to sing Ouch and then Owwwee. I never laughed so hard. We laughed till we cried. That was Aunt Karen. Always trying to make others laugh, which wasn't hard for her to do. Oh, some days this is soooo hard...   :(
I miss you!!!

Tony, Karen's bright personality and genuine smile will forever resound through the Main Street Station via all of us who cared for her, and you.  Thank you for sharing her with us and bringing her down to Main street so we could bask in her beauty once more, hug her and tell her we love her. You're an awesome man and you both were lucky to have each other.  Karen lives on in you, your family and all of us who grew to love her over the years, especially Peggy.

My friend, you and your daughter are in my prayers.  I remember all the good times we shared........she was a very special lady. She will be missed by all.

It is much like slamming a 2x4 into your teeth full force to see a picture of lively lovely amazing Karen next to the word "obituary" - it seems almost as impossible as not hearing that infectious laugh of hers again in this lifetime... It will be hard living the remainder of my life without her in it, yet she told me earnestly that we would see each other again and I believe her. God grant His peace and comfort to Tony and Rosemarie and to all of us who loved and knew this vivacious amazing loving person, Karen Lynn Grasso. If you knew Karen you smiled once in your life. If you loved her, you smiled over and over. Let's remember her that way - I think she'd like that. :)

A day will never go by where I will not miss my mom and therefore I will never forget her. My dad always used to say it was like having two of the same person in the house so my mom will always live on. I am agnostic so I don't know what happens when you pass on, but I do know that my mom is with my grandma and our other family members simply because she willed it to be that way so much before she passed. I'll see her again one day, too, be it in another life or in some form of afterlife. But in this life, I'll see her every time I look in the mirror. I love you, mom. It's not fair you were taken so soon and I'll miss your constant presence.

Dear Tony,
My thoughts and prayers are with you, your daughter, and Karen's siblings.  Karen made our annual trips to Las Vegas more fun and she had an incredible memory to remember us each year and greet us with that big smile and a wave.  She was always very good to us and our future trips out there will have a huge void.  I'm happy to have known her.

Lord, May you welcome my sister Karen Grasso into your open arms and embrace her. There is no more pain and she will no longer suffer.. amen
