Karl Selvin Hess, age 73, passed away on March 21, 2025 at his home of natural causes. He was born in South Carolina and sometime in the 70's moved to Las Vegas.
During the 80's and 90's, he was a volunteer paramedic while also working at Sandia National Laboratories. He was an Electrical Engineer and Radar Technician up until he retired in 2014. He loved tickering with anything electronic. He would take them apart and fix them or use the part for something else. He didn't like throwing things away because it could be reused. He had a dry sense of humor; you were going to laugh or shake your head. He loved to learn but he also loved to share what he learned. He was passionate about his beliefs. Karl was a great man and if he saw you as family he would always be there for you and make sure you were taken care of.
