

Kathleen Mary Brennan Feeney, 73, of Las Vegas, Nevada died Sept. 1, 2014. She was born to Catherine and James Brennan on January 16, 1941, in New York, NY. Kathleen was a proud graduate of the Academy of Mt. St. Ursula in the Bronx, NY. She then graduated from the Mary Byers Secretarial School in Manhattan. Upon graduation, she began her career working at CBS News in New York City. She married Peter Feeney in 1967, and they lived in the New York tri-state area for a number of years before moving to Michigan and then to California, arriving in Las Vegas in 1994. They settled in the beautiful Los Prados Golf Community in Northwest Las Vegas. Kathleen was an exceptional cook, a renowned party hostess, a very talented bridge player, an excellent administrative assistant and one of the fastest typists at each of her places of employment. She retired from the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in 2007. Kathleen loved to cruise. She and her husband completed 25 cruises, the last one in 2013 to Hawaii. Kathleen was a loving wife and mother. One of her joys was supporting her husband’s love for barbershop harmony and his longstanding service to the Harmony Foundation International. In addition to her husband of 47 years, Kathleen in survived by her three children; Margaret, Peter Jr. and Brian; two grandchildren, Brett and James Heninger; her sister Margaret Boyd in Michigan; and her brother Thomas Brennan in Carmel, NY. Services will be conducted at Palm Mortuary Northwest. Visitation will take place on Friday September 12, 2014, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday September 13, 2014.
