

Kay Ann Long, age 71, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, in Overton, Nevada. Born on October 16, 1954, in Burlington, Iowa, Kay moved with her family to Las Vegas in 1962. She brought warmth and light into the lives of everyone who knew her.
Kay’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother and a proud grandmother who poured her heart into those she loved. While her presence will be profoundly missed, her family takes comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her beloved son, James Patrick Overfield, who preceded her in death in 1978. She was also preceded in death by her dad, James Patrick Driscoll, and her brother, Mike Driscoll.
She is survived by her loving sons, Richard (Tiffany) Felix of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Edward (April) Stacy of Overton, Nevada. She was the cherished grandmother of Wyatt and Phoebe Stacy.
She is also survived by her devoted mother, Joan Driscoll of Las Vegas, Nevada, and her biological father, Don Long of Knoxville, Iowa. Kay leaves behind her loving siblings: her sisters, Joyce (Rich) Fenton of Tracy, California, and Karen Long of Knoxville, Iowa; and her brother, Matt Driscoll of Scottsdale, Arizona. She was the dear aunt to her nieces, Ashley Compaglia of Tracy, California, and Meghan Souza of Los Banos, California, and leaves behind a community of extended family and friends who will cherish her memory.
Kay’s legacy of love, resilience, and devotion will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and family forever.
