Ken was born on June 27, 1955, in Waverly, Iowa to Harold and Florine (Segebarth). Ken was baptized & confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Waverly. He graduated from Waverly Shell Rock Highschool in 1973 where he was active in FFA and was awarded the American Farmer Degree.
In 1977 Ken moved to Illinois where he lived for several years. He enjoyed his job at Mitsubishi where he worked for 10 years. Ken married Carol Moore in 1983 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
In 1999 Ken and Carol moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he loved the beautiful weather & worked for several casinos in security and surveillance.
Ken is survived by his wife Carol, son & daughter in law Durk & Sandra Brandt from Pekin, Illinois, grandson Trevor Brandt from Las Vegas, Nevada, Step granddaughters Ashley & Shelby McDade of Nevada. Sister Joyce Pagel (Bill Schaufenbul) of Sumner, Iowa. Brother Curt (Darlene) Brandt form Waverly, Iowa & several nieces and nephews. Private family services were held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
