

Kenneth "Kenny" Cuddell Goetz, 57, of Las Vegas Nevada, passed peacefully on October 20, 2025, at Valley Hospital Medical Center, Las Vegas, from complications following a bicycle accident. Kenny was born on June 21, 1968, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Paul A. Goetz and Margaret R. (Sinnott) Goetz. He grew up in Sioux City, Iowa and graduated from Bishop Heelan Catholic High School in 1986. Kenny briefly attended the Unversity of South Dakota before relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a proud member of the Teamsters union and worked for decades setting up booths for conventions. It was in Las Vegas that he met his life partner, Terry Thompson.
Kenny was the youngest of ten siblings. In elementary school, he and two older brothers had a profitable gum ball machine business. He always had good math skills. He was on the wrestling team in junior and senior high school. Kenny loved making people laugh by doing silly and unexpected things, like riding his bike off the dock at Lake Okoboji. As an adult, he followed UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) and attended many fan events. He was a lifelong fan of Nebraska football. Kenny was sensitive to the needs of others and would help people in need, especially children.
Kenny is survived by the love of his life, Terry Thompson; his siblings Brad (Pam) Goetz of Springfield, Illinois, Paula Goetz (Tom Cooper) of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Kevin (Sheila) Goetz of Thornton, Colorado, Kent Goetz of San Jose, California, and Theresa (Tim) Goertz of Hornick, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul A. Goetz and Margaret R. Goetz, and siblings Brian Goetz, Brent Goetz, Keith Goetz, and Kurt Goetz.
In keeping with Kenny's wishes, there will be no public service.
