Kenneth (Kenny) James Wilkinson, 71, a resident of Pahrump, Nevada, passed away March 3, 2018. He was born May 22, 1946 in Meriden, Connecticut. He served with distinction in the US Navy from 1964 to 1984, retiring at the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He grew up in Orem, Utah and while in the military was stationed in Florida, Virginia, California and Vietnam (serving two tours aboard ship and two tours in country with the Marine Corps.) Upon leaving the service, he worked in the trucking and transportation industry before becoming a business owner (motorcycle dealership) in Pahrump, Nevada. In recent years, he’s settled into a very happy life of retirement surrounded by a community of close friends, where you could find him on any given day at the local VFW catching up over a Coke.

He is survived by his brother William E. (Betty); stepmother Belva; two daughters, Kimberly White and Lynn Barboza (Steve Ritchey); grandsons Andrew and Brady White and granddaughters Jessica and Mariah Barboza.

He is preceded in death by his mother Doris Lavonne; father Irvin (Ike) Goodrich; and grandson Jared Michael White.

The funeral services will be held Friday, March 9, 2018, 9:20 AM, Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, Nevada. Family and friends may attend a viewing from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, March 8, 2018, Palm Mortuary, 1600 South Jones Boulevard, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Military rites will be provided by the US Navy; honor guard by the Nye County Sheriff’s Office.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kenny’s name to VFW 10054, 4651 Homestead Road, Pahrump, Nevada.

A memorial service and celebration of Kenny’s life will also be held, Saturday, March 31, 2018, 2:00 PM, VFW Post 10054, 4651 Homestead Road, Pahrump, Nevada.
