
Surrounded by his family, Kevin Edward Anderson, age 64, of Las Vegas, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Thursday October 17, 2013. Born in Honolulu HI, to Edward and Margaret Anderson, Kevin was a Las Vegas resident for over 16 years. Kevin worked in customer service for over 30 years for companies in the San Francisco Bay Area, Portland Oregon, and Las Vegas, and for the past 14 years was a history professor teaching US and Nevada History at the College of Southern Nevada.
Kevin enjoyed researching and collecting historical notes for his classes, old movies, his annual trip with his mom to Calico Ghost Town for the Civil War reenactment every President's Day weekend, and spending time with his daughter and grandson.
Kevin is predeceased by his father Edward Arthur Anderson, and is survived by his mother, Margaret Anderson, sisters, Sharon Williams and Briana Larse, daughter Amanda Whisman, grandson Grahame Whisman, nieces Briana Williams, Crystal Williams and Chelsea Larse, and nephews Daniel Williams, Jarrod Larse, and Branden Williams.
Kevin will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family requests memorial donations be sent to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Arrangements under the direction of Palm South Jones Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
