Kevin Patrick McGinnis, 66, passed away on April 29, 2026 at his residence. He was born December 7, 1959 in Chicago. The family moved to Las Vegas in 1965. Kevin was a 1977 graduate of Las Vegas High school. Kevin had several jobs but spent the majority of his career as a salesman for a plumbing supply business. In 2001 Kevin was elected as associate director of the Nevada Rural Water Association. He served in that position until 2005. During his tenure, he lobbied congress to help secure Nevada’s water rights.
Kevin is survived by his son James McGinnis, brother, Michael McGinnis (Fredy), sister Kathryn Rogers (Bob), and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his by his parents Jim and Sharon McGinnis.
Kevin was an avid golfer. He played softball into his 60’s and played several years in an adult hockey league.
Services will be held at Palm Mortuary Downtown on May 14, 2026 at 1 pm
