Kuo Lu

魯括， 乳名強五， 1945年農曆10月生于甘肅省臨夏市， 畢業與西北師範大學音樂系。曾任中國音樂家協會甘肅分會會員，中國民間文藝家協會甘肅分會會員，甘肅少數民族音樂學會理事。曾任臨夏州音樂舞蹈家協會副主席。大學副教授，于2005年從蘭州城市學院退休。魯括先生不僅是一位優秀的音樂教師，爲基層音樂教育培養了一批批的音樂教育者，他更是一名傑出的民間音樂研究者，他常年致力于研究甘肅臨夏地區的民歌“花兒”，曾多次在國家級和省級的刊物雜志上發表過論文。他的論文及研究成果曾多次獲得中國國家級刊物“人民音樂”論文一等獎。他所創作的多首具有地方特色的民歌也在臨夏地區廣爲流傳。魯括先生退休後于2015年移居拉斯維加斯和兒子同住， 2018年3月26日診斷爲晚期胃癌，于2018年4月23日淩晨5時逝世于拉斯維加斯Summerlin Hospital, 享年73歲, 留下遺孀冉正梅，女兒魯可揚，兒子魯可朋， 孫子魯樂楚，魯樂曦，魯宇然，外孫魏吉恩和魏吉敖。

Kuo Lu, was born in Linxia Gansu Province of China in 1945. Graduated from Northwest Normal University, majored in Music Education. He was the member of China Musicians’ Association, Chinese Folk Literature and Art Association; the director of Gansu Minority Music Society; the vice president of Linxia Musicians and Dancers’ Association. He was the associated professor, retired from Lanzhou City University in 2005. Mr. Lu was an outstanding music teacher, he has many students who are still actively devoted local music teachers. He was also a distinguished musicologist who studied the local folk music “Huaer”. His research papers were published multiple times at China National musical periodical “People’s Music”. He composed many songs are well known in Linxia area. Mr. Lu moved to Las Vegas to live with his son in 2015. He was diagnosed with stage IV Gastro cancer in March 2018, died at Summerlin hospital on April 23, 2018. He is survived by his wife Zhengmei Ran; his daughter Keyang Lu; his son Kepeng Lu; and grandchildren Lucinda, Lumina, Long Long, Gene and Gnow.
