Lani Mari Rand

Lani Mari Rand ,49, passed away on December 9, 2023. She loved anything family, friends, country, whiskey, and moonshine. She was snarky and had one of the most infectious smiles and laugh, if she wasn’t making fun of you in one way or another you weren’t having a good time. She was the embodiment of Yin and Yang. She’s the most loving, sweetest, caring, and selfless person you could ever meet, but she balanced that out with her IDGAF attitude.

Lani was born December 4,1974 in Concord, Massachusetts. She attended Rancho High School and participated in cross country track. Lani worked at Expedia as a customer service specialist.

Lani leaves behind her loving husband Norman Ascaño, her children Zane Lemos (son), Laurence Ortiz (son), Lydia Gann (daughter-in-law), Kaidance Ascaño (daughter), Triston Ascaño (son), and Alaric Ascaño (son). She also leaves behind loving parents William and Cheryl Rand and sibling Staci Rodriguez (sister), Jodi Cochran (sister), Tom Cochran (brother-in-law). As well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

A funeral service for Lani will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Palm Downtown Mortuary, 1325 North Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
