

LARUE SUTTON, LaRue Olive Sutton, 77 of Las Vegas, passed away August 15, 2014 at Nathan Adelson Hospice. She was born in Rigby Idaho, May 19, 1937, to Alvin Adams Scholes and LaVon Hunter. The fifth of six children, LaRue grew up in a large and busy family. She was a 54-year resident of Las Vegas. LaRue was loving, tender, kind and generous to a fault, delightfully fun to be with, hardworking, clear thinking, never afraid of a challenge, a peacemaker, homemaker, mother, grandmother, friend and many other wonderful traits. She married the love of her life, LaRelle Harry Sutton, in the LDS Idaho Falls Temple on June 3, 1955. They moved from Idaho to Las Vegas in 1960. LaRue was active in DUP and in the community, but the main focus of her life was her family and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Each of her five children grew up surrounded by her love and devotion. She was preceded in death by her husband, LaRelle Harry Sutton; son, Brian Sutton. LaRue is survived by her sons Kim Sutton, Chris Sutton and Chad Sutton; and daughters Laurie Sutton and Tammy Haase all residing in Las Vegas; brothers Harold Scholes and Von Scholes of Idaho, and sisters Phoebe Bird and Doris Hill of Idaho; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. Saturday August 23, with Family Prayer at 11:30 a.m. and service following at 12:00 both at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 221 Lorenzi St, Las Vegas, NV 89107. Burial will be at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 N. Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
