Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great‑grandfather whose life was defined by curiosity, adventure, and an endless supply of stories. He approached the world with a coach’s heart and a traveler’s spirit — always eager to learn something new, go somewhere unexpected, or cheer someone on from the sidelines.
His greatest passion was his family, followed by “the beautiful game” of soccer. Larry proudly held a B‑level coaching license from the U.S. Soccer Federation and was one of the first soccer coaches of former professional goalkeeper Ian Feuer.
An entrepreneur, Larry founded Griffith Imports (toys) and SIERCO (Steel Industry Equipment Repair). Before retiring, he was operations manager of the Las Vegas Cashman Field.
Larry loved travel, exploration, and the thrill of discovering something he hadn’t seen before. He and his wife, Vicky, were true partners and fellow adventurers, equally at home on a spontaneous road trip as they were navigating the chaos of a house full of grandchildren.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Vicky Griffith.
He was predeceased by his parents Merlin and Elizabeth Griffiith and his son, Lawrence Griffith II as well as five of his siblings.
He is survived by his children: Lynda Bidelspach, Lisa Story, Vince Griffith, and Aaron Griffith.
He is also remembered by his stepchildren: Vicky Shain and Rick Pike.
Larry leaves behind ten grandchildren: Eric Griffith, Vanessa Griffith, Britton Griffith‑Bosma, Samantha Griffith‑Brown, Kaili Story, Jonathan Bidelspach, Brianne Griffith Pineda, Sydney Story, Ashley Bidelspach, and Brennan Griffith.
He is also remembered by four step‑grandchildren: Samuel Shain, Hunter Pike, Veronica Shain, and Jacob Pike.
He cherished his three great‑grandchildren: Ezra Pineda, Cardiff Brown, and Beaux Pike.
He is survived by his siblings: Roger Griffith and Jeanine Garmen.
Larry’s legacy lives on in the stories he told, the adventures he inspired, and the family he loved.
