Leo P. Hauk

Born on July 11, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York, Leo was a man whose life was built on hard work, loyalty, and unconditional love for his family. For more than 40 years, he dedicated his career as a stagehand, helping bring productions to life behind the scenes. His work ethic, craftsmanship, and willingness to tackle any challenge earned him the respect of everyone fortunate enough to work alongside him.

While Leo could fix just about anything, those who knew him best would smile and admit that he sometimes had a habit of starting projects that didn't always get finished. Whether he was working on his dune buggy or the boat, tinkering in the garage, or heading out to enjoy a day of fishing, Leo found joy in staying busy and using his hands to create, repair, and help others.

More than anything, Leo was a family man.

He shared 39 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Tina Hauk. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. He was a proud father to Leo Hauk Jr. and Dylan Hauk, and a loving father-in-law to Jordan and Brenda. His amazing sister-in-law Barbara, along with many aunt, uncles, cousins, and extended family members, and lifelong friends.

His greatest joy came from being "Papa Leo" to his beloved grandchildren, Dylan II, Remi Rose, Krew Leo, and Ruben "Tatos". Nothing meant more to him than spending time with them. He was their biggest fan, faithfully attending every baseball, basketball and football game, and many cheer competitions. And on days when there wasn't a game, you'd often find Leo sitting in the stands anyway, proudly watching practice. He never missed an opportunity to be with his grandchildren, and they always knew they could count on seeing Papa cheering them on and buying them anything and everything from the snack shack.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Catherine "Carol" Hauk; and his brothers, Michael Hauk and Steven "Red" Hauk.

To know Leo was to know a true legend. He was fiercely loyal, incredibly hardworking, and had a heart that knew no limits. If someone needed help, Leo was there without hesitation—he truly would give the shirt off his back. His generosity wasn't something he talked about; it was simply who he was.

Leo had a gift for making people laugh, solving problems and causing them, and bringing people together. His quiet strength, dependable nature, and unwavering love for his family left an impact that words can never fully capture.

His legacy is not measured by the things he built, but by the lives he touched. He taught those around him the value of hard work, loyalty, kindness, and putting family first. His stories will continue to be shared around dinner tables and out on the lake, and his memory will live on through the people who loved him most.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that his love, wisdom, and spirit will remain with us forever.

A legend never truly leaves us. He lives on in every story told, every laugh shared, every helping hand offered, and in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Palm Mortuary - South Jones, 1600 South Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146, US, on August 8, 2026, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
