Leona Walker

Leona Walker was born on October 24, 1926 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Albert and Willie Mae Seastrunk. Leona was the oldest of one brother and one sister. Amos Seastrunk (brother)and Ella Mae Turner(sister) preceded her in death. Leona accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a very young age.

Leona loved family gatherings. Her delicious cooking, provided for sharing, laughing, and loving memories that will live forever within our hearts. Leona worked in the Housekeeping Industry for many years before retiring. Leona peacefully received her “Angel Wings” on February 9, 2018.

Leona leaves to cherish wonderful memories two loving daughters: Shirley Hal and Henrietta Burist, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; four sons, Herbert Van Hampton (Michigan); Don L. Hampton, Albert Lee Richardson and Willie E. Walker Jr., all of Las Vegas, Nevada; fourteen Grandchildren; seventy-six Great Grandchildren; fourteen Great, Great Grandchildren. Two daughters preceded her in death, Rose Lee Hampton (Arizona) and Charlene Harris Richardson, Las Vegas, Nevada; two sons preceded her in death, Raymond Hampton and Ernest L. Walker of Las Vegas Nevada.

Leona Walker leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many other family and friends.
