

Leticia Pillas Ventura, affectionately known as Letty or Nanay, peacefully passed away on January 1, 2024, at the age of 87, at Sunrise Medical Hospital in Las Vegas.
Born on June 16, 1936, in Pila, Laguna, Letty was the daughter of Mateo Pillas and Hilaria Tope. In her childhood, she shared the joys and challenges with her siblings Dalisay (deceased), Cely, Flory, Cita, Lori, and Mateo Jr (deceased).
In 1957, Letty married the love of her life, Ernesto Francisco Ventura, from Makati, Philippines. They built a life together, raising their children Ernesto Jr, Edgardo, Ednalyn, and Eloisa. Ernesto Sr. passed away in 2008, leaving a legacy of love and family.
Letty was a dedicated homemaker and a woman of many talents. She earned an AA degree in Manila and pursued various entrepreneurial endeavors, owning an RTW business, a mini-market store, and excelling as a designer, master cutter, and dressmaker for TV personalities and bridal entourages.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Letty found joy in cooking, crocheting, knitting, and listening to music. Her faith was an integral part of her life, as she was a devout Catholic who attended mass regularly, prayed the rosary, and participated in the Catholic Women's League.
Together with Ernesto, Letty made significant contributions to their community, constructing a small church in Paranaque and sponsoring the building and maintenance of basketball courts to engage youth positively and steer them away from negative influences.
Letty's generosity extended beyond her immediate family, as she sponsored and supported numerous individuals, from nieces and nephews to friends, enabling them to pursue education and even priesthood.
Letty is survived by her children Ed, Edna, and Elay, their spouses Babu, Elyong, and Jojo, her sisters Cely, Flory, Cita, and Lori, and a loving array of grandchildren Ryan & Peaches Ventura, Jason & Mykee Ventura, Nikki & Bonggie Bernardo, Karen & JR Gamban, Karla & Billvick Perez, Paolo & Avi Angeles, Patrick Angeles, Johanna & Bryan Bravo, Michael & Samantha Nery, Jessica & Kris Sumikawa. Great-Grandchildren Mikey, Lauryn, Jacob, Ava, Mason, Max, Aubrey, Izzy, Arrow, Myles, Vitto, Vinnie and Santi.
Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those she touched with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.
May Nanay rest in eternal peace.

A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89128. A committal service will occur Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
