Linda was born in Lomita, California, preceded by her parents Alden and Barbara Whittier. Linda also leaves behind four great-grandchildren. Linda was an amazing human being and a kind and supporting partner, mother and grandmother. She only had love in her heart, a love for everyone, which was larger than the life she lived. She was full of lo life and was known by her friends and family for her unconditional love and caring and approachable character. She was fearless in everything she did and was transparent and kind to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Linda spent many years of her life in San Pedro, California where she proudly managed the galley on the “Freedom”, a sport fishing boat out of 22nd Street Landing. She also had the honor and privilege of working with the baby white tigers of Siegfried and Roy’s while employed at the MGM in Las Vegas, Nevada. Linda loved all animals, but she really favored the cats! When Linda was not working she absolutely loved music. She went to many concerts to see the likes of Sting, Tina Turner and Stevie Nicks. She made it a hobby collecting concert brochures and even took her mother to see Julio Iglesias! She loved her music so much that even now one could almost hear her voice singing out loud in her car! Linda and Ron spent the latter part of her life in Northern California and parted from her love and journeyed alone to Las Vegas to spend more time with her children and grandchildren. Sadly, Linda passed away suddenly during her visit. She will be missed more than words could ever express. May she rest in peace now, and may she always know how much she is loved. and may her legacy of love continue to manifest in her loved ones. She believed that in eternity she would be with her family again. There will be no funeral and a memorial service to celebrate her life will be determined in the coming weeks.
