Linda Jean Sterner

Linda was a strong-willed, passionate woman with a generous heart. She was a wonderful listener and someone her family could always count on for love, encouragement, and support. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

She shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Wesley Sterner. Together they built a life filled with love, adventure, and cherished memories. They enjoyed traveling the world together, taking more than 50 cruises and making annual trips to Hawaii every November. Bowling was another passion they shared. Linda bowled in several leagues throughout the years, served as secretary for multiple leagues, and proudly achieved a remarkable high score of 299.

Linda found immense happiness spending time with all of her grandchildren, creating memories they will cherish forever. She especially enjoyed cheering on her grandsons, Corbin and Eli, from the stands as they played baseball, taking great pride in watching them grow both on and off the field.

Known for her delicious home cooking, Linda lovingly prepared family favorites that will be remembered for generations, including her biscuits and gravy, sauerkraut, roast, side pork, and potato soup with eggs. She also enjoyed watching horse racing and never missed an opportunity to explore new places with those she loved.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Wesley Sterner, and her parents, Dan and Ilene Long.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Steve Sterner and Shane (Chrissy) Sterner; her grandchildren, Tyler (Angela) Sterner, Kesley Sterner, Eli Compton, Hannah Compton, and Corbin Sterner; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Karina, Adeline, Issaiah, and Bailey Sterner, along with many extended family members and dear friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and unwavering love.

A Funeral Service will be held at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, US, on August 2, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
