A beautiful, kind and generous angel has gone to be with her Lord. Louisa Piccoli left her earthly body on July 31, 2020. Her parents Biaza and Cathrine Mazza (Zabales) gave birth to her in Denver, Colorado on February 5, 1950. Louisa was surrounded by her three older sisters Mary, Christine and Antoinette, and a couple of years later brought two additional sisters, Philomena and Theresa into their family.
Louisa spent most of her youth in Denver and had her eldest daughter Michelle there. She was so happy to be a mother. She wanted new opportunities for her and her new daughter and decided to make an adventure to the Wild Wild West. Las Vegas welcomed Louisa and Michelle in 1974 to the glistening lights and to a new lifetime of memories.
Louisa made long lasting friends through her longtime career in hospitality serving cocktails at the Circus Circus, Golden Nugget and taking part in the opening of The Mirage. Louisa loved her job and the many friends that surrounded her while working, many of which talked to her up until the day she passed.
While employed at the Circus Circus Louisa met her second daughter's father. She had her second daughter Giovanna shortly after. Her life felt complete having her two most precious angels with her. Louisa always wanted a life with children. God graced her with two.
Louisa worked so hard to give her daughters the best in life. She was the best example of generosity they could’ve asked for. She taught them the most valuable life lessons such as loyalty, service, hospitality, forgiveness, traditions, unconditional love and the importance of family. She will never be forgotten because she took the time and patience to give these gifts to her girls which are being passed down to her grandchildren by Michelle, James, Giovanna and Warren.
Louisa felt so blessed to have spent so much time with her beloved grandchildren; although it was far from enough in our eyes. They were the light of her life and took the top spot in her book. She had a unique relationship with each of them which they each cherished beyond measure. She took them on vacations, had sleepovers, did shopping sprees, movie dates, went on roller coasters, taught them the ABC’s, how to read, how to turn the pages in a book, patty cake, and their parents phone numbers. In the most recent days we were blessed enough to have Louisa watch the younger girls while their parents worked. Jimmy, Tony, Dylan, Mariah, Madelyn, Karmella, Ramona, and Phoenix will miss her, and they did not get enough time.
Sister, friend, cousin, aunt, and most importantly mother and nonie... you will be deeply missed. Until we meet again…
